Belated Birthday Post

Happy Friday, everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t blogged in forever. Every weekend Ian and I have been adventuring, which hasn’t left much time for the blog or wedding planning or much of anything, really. Work has been a little crazy lately too, for Ian and me. They’re not bag, necessarily, but Ian’s job has decided that everything is a crisis, and my job has been busy with hiring and other HR drama.

Since my last post, we’ve gone on some random hikes and taken two camping trips and treated ourselves to a happy birthday stay at Sundance Resort thanks to a 40% coupon. I have so many photos that I’m letting you all know ahead of time that I’m going to post about all of the trips separately in their own respective photo dumps.

Thank you for all of the happy birthday wishes too! It was hard being away from home on a day where normally I would be celebrating with family, but it was so nice to get all of the birthday calls, texts, and cards :)

We’ve been having a lot of fun, but man, I am exhausted. I’m also sunburnt, but that’s beside the point.

Tomorrow I’m going hiking to Lake Blanche again with the girls from my snowshoe class, and Ian and I are going to the neighbors’ new house for game night. Next weekend is the 5k race at the local park. The weekend after that is the neighbors’ housewarming party. Will I ever sleep? Probably not, but my body wakes me up at 5:00 AM everyday anyway so I guess it’s fine.
